Let's read a short passage together: 'The sun was shining brightly in the sky. The children laughed and played in the park.' Notice how I change my voice to show excitement when I say 'The children laughed.' This helps the listener feel the joy of the moment. Now, let's practice reading this passage as a class, focusing on expression.

In small groups, choose a short story from our reading corner. Each student will take turns reading a paragraph aloud. As you read, think about how you can use your voice to express the feelings of the characters. After reading, discuss with your group what emotions you felt while reading and how you expressed them.

Now it's time to write! Create five sentences about your favorite animal. Remember to use correct punctuation at the end of each sentence. For example, if you write, 'The lion is strong,' make sure to include a period. Once you finish, read your sentences aloud to a partner, focusing on clear pronunciation and expression.
