Let’s look at a simple example: 'A beautiful bird flew over the green trees. It sang sweet songs that made everyone smile.' Notice how the sentences are clear and use punctuation like periods to show the end of a thought. This makes it easier for readers to follow along.

In small groups, let’s create a story together. Each student will contribute one sentence. Start with a character, then add where they are and what they are doing. Remember to use punctuation correctly. After we finish, we will read our story aloud as a class. This will help us practice our speaking and listening skills.

Now it’s your turn! Write your own short story about a day in the life of an animal. Use at least five sentences and make sure to include proper punctuation.
