Let’s look at a short story together. 'One sunny day, a little girl named Thandi found a magical flower in her garden. The flower could talk and told her about adventures in faraway lands. Thandi decided to follow the flower and explore the world.' Notice how each sentence has a clear idea and uses punctuation correctly. This makes the story easy to read and understand.

Now, let’s work together to create a story. I will start with a sentence: 'In a small village, there lived a brave boy named Sipho.' What do you think happens next? Let’s brainstorm ideas as a class. We can add characters, places, and exciting events. Remember to think about how we can use punctuation to make our sentences clear.

Now it’s your turn to write a short story. Use the ideas we discussed and write at least three sentences. Make sure to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish, share your story with a partner and listen to their story too. This will help you practice speaking and listening skills.
