This will help you practice listening for details and thinking about the story. Remember to listen carefully so you can answer the questions.

Now, let’s break into small groups. Each group will discuss the story we just heard. I want you to take turns speaking. One person can start by saying what they liked about Thabo’s adventure. After that, others can add their thoughts. Remember to listen to your friends and respond to what they say. Use sentences like, 'I agree with you because...' or 'I think differently because...'

For independent practice, I want you to write three sentences about your favorite animal. Make sure to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish writing, read your sentences to a partner. This will help you practice speaking clearly and confidently. Remember to listen to your partner as they read their sentences too!
