Let's look at the sentence: 'the cat sat on the mat' without proper punctuation. We can correct it by adding a capital letter at the beginning and a period at the end: 'The cat sat on the mat.' Notice how these changes make the sentence clearer. Now, let's try another example together: 'she loves to read books' should be corrected to 'She loves to read books.'

In small groups, I will give you a list of sentences that have errors. Your task is to read each sentence aloud and discuss as a group what needs to be corrected. Pay attention to punctuation and capitalization. After discussing, write the corrected sentences on your paper. We will share our corrections as a class afterward.
