Let’s look at an example of a short text: 'Ngiyathanda ukuhamba emaphandleni. Ngithanda ukubona izinyoni nezimbali. Lokhu kuhle kakhulu.' Notice how each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. This makes it easier for readers to understand the message.

In groups of four, brainstorm ideas for a short story about a day in the life of a farmer. Each group will write a paragraph together. Remember to use proper punctuation and spacing. After writing, each group will read their paragraph aloud to the class. This will help us practice our speaking and listening skills.
