Creative writing allows us to express our thoughts and feelings in unique ways. Today, we will focus on writing about our dream day. A dream day is a day where everything goes perfectly, and we can do whatever we want. Think about what activities would make you happy and how you would feel during that day.

Let’s look at an example: 'On my dream day, I would wake up early to the sound of birds singing. I would have a delicious breakfast of pancakes and fruit. After breakfast, I would go to the beach with my friends. We would swim, build sandcastles, and play games until sunset. In the evening, we would have a barbecue and watch the stars.' Notice how each sentence has a clear idea and uses punctuation correctly.

Now, let’s work together. In small groups, discuss what your dream day would look like. Each person should share at least one activity they would include. After discussing, write down three sentences about your dream day. Remember to use capital letters at the beginning of each sentence and end with a full stop. I will walk around to help you with punctuation and ideas.

For your independent practice, write a short paragraph describing your dream day. Use at least five sentences and make sure to include correct punctuation. After you finish writing, read your paragraph to a partner and listen to their dream day as well. This will help you practice your speaking and listening skills.
