Today, we will learn about different careers and what people do in their jobs. A career is a job that someone does for a long time. Some examples of careers include doctors, teachers, engineers, and artists. Each career requires different skills and education. It's important to think about what you enjoy doing and how that can relate to your future career.
Let's look at some scenarios. Imagine a person who loves to help others and is good at science. They might consider becoming a doctor or a nurse. Another example is someone who enjoys working with numbers and solving problems; they might think about being an accountant or a mathematician. Discuss with your partner what skills these careers require and how they relate to healthy choices and respectful behavior.
In small groups, discuss the following questions: What careers are you interested in? What skills do you think you need for those careers? How can making healthy choices impact your ability to succeed in those careers? After discussing, each group will share their thoughts with the class. Remember to listen respectfully to each otherβs ideas.
Now that we have learned about different careers and the skills needed, it's time to reflect on what we want to achieve. Write down one career you are interested in and set a small goal related to that career. For example, if you want to be an artist, your goal could be to draw for 15 minutes every day. Share your goal with a partner and discuss how you can support each other in achieving it.
