A religious community is a group of people who share the same beliefs and practices related to their faith. The sense of belonging to a community can strengthen an individual's faith and provide a network of support.

Let's look at some examples of religious communities. In Christianity, the church serves as a community where members come together for worship and fellowship. In Islam, the mosque is a central place for prayer and community gatherings. Similarly, in Judaism, the synagogue acts as a community hub for worship and education. Each of these communities plays a vital role in the lives of their members, helping them to practice their faith collectively.

In pairs, discuss the following questions: What activities do you think are important for a religious community? How do these activities help strengthen the community? After a few minutes, we will share our thoughts with the class. Consider activities like group prayers, festivals, charity work, and educational programs. Think about how these practices bring people together and support their beliefs.

For your independent practice, create a poster that represents a religious community of your choice. Include images, symbols, and a short description of the community's beliefs and practices. Be sure to highlight how this community supports its members. You can use magazines, drawings, or printed images to make your poster visually appealing. Once completed, we will have a gallery walk to view each other's work.
