Notice how the story has a clear beginning, middle, and end, and uses punctuation to separate ideas.
Now, let’s work together to create a short story. I will start with a sentence: 'In a forest, there was a talking tree.' What do you think should happen next? Let’s brainstorm ideas for characters and events. Remember to think about how we can use punctuation correctly as we write our sentences. We will write this story together on the board.
