We will also practice speaking by sharing our thoughts and opinions about the story. Understanding how to listen carefully and express ourselves clearly is important in our daily lives.

Let's read a short story together: 'The Clever Rabbit'. In this story, a rabbit outsmarts a lion to save itself. After reading, we will discuss the main events and characters. For example, we can ask: What did the rabbit do to trick the lion? This helps us practice listening for details and speaking about what we heard.

Now, let's form small groups and discuss the story we just read. Each group will take turns sharing their thoughts. Use sentences like, 'I think the rabbit was clever because...' or 'I liked the part where...'. Remember to listen to your classmates and respond to their ideas. This will help us practice both listening and speaking skills.

For independent practice, write three sentences about your favorite character from the story. Make sure to use correct punctuation and spacing. For example, 'The rabbit was brave. It tricked the lion. I admire the rabbit's cleverness.' After writing, share your sentences with a partner and discuss why you chose that character.
