Here is a short story: 'Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a curious little fox named Tlhokomelo. Every day, Tlhokomelo would explore new paths and meet different animals. One sunny morning, she discovered a sparkling river and decided to follow it. What adventures awaited her?' Notice how the sentences are structured and punctuated to create a flow in the story.

In pairs, discuss what you think makes a good story. Share your ideas with the class. After that, let’s practice building sentences together. I will give you a few words, and you will create sentences using those words. Remember to use capital letters at the beginning and punctuation at the end. For example, if I say 'fox', 'river', and 'adventure', you might say, 'The fox found an adventure by the river.'
