The Chinese New Year, celebrated with dragon dances, fireworks, and family reunions. 3. The Maasai Jumping Dance in Kenya, which is a rite of passage for young warriors. Each of these traditions reflects the values and history of the culture it comes from.

In small groups, students will discuss cultural traditions they are familiar with. Each group will choose one tradition to share with the class. They should consider questions like: What is the tradition? Why is it important? How is it celebrated? After 15 minutes, each group will present their findings to the class, using the vocabulary we have learned.

For this mini-project, students will choose a cultural tradition that interests them. They will create a poster or a digital presentation that includes the following: a description of the tradition, its significance, and any images or symbols associated with it. Students will present their projects to the class in the following lesson, allowing everyone to learn about different cultures.
