This helps the reader understand the story better.

In pairs, discuss your favorite animal and why you like it. Think about how you can describe it in a few sentences. After your discussion, write a short paragraph about your animal, using at least three descriptive words. Remember to use correct punctuation and spacing. Once you finish, share your paragraph with another pair and give each other feedback.

Now it's your turn to write! Choose a topic that interests you—this could be a favorite memory, a dream, or even a fictional story. Write a short text of at least five sentences. Make sure to use descriptive language and check your punctuation. After you finish, read your text aloud to a partner and discuss what you enjoyed about each other's writing.
