Let's take the career of a teacher as an example. A teacher needs strong communication skills, patience, and creativity. We can brainstorm other careers, such as a doctor, engineer, or artist, and identify the skills required for each. For instance, a doctor needs to have strong analytical skills and empathy, while an artist may need creativity and attention to detail.

In small groups, discuss a career that interests you. Each group will choose one career and list the skills needed for that job. After 10 minutes, each group will present their career choice to the class. Remember to listen respectfully to each group's presentation and ask questions to learn more about their chosen career.

Reflect on what you have learned about careers today. Write down one career that interests you and three skills you think you need to develop to pursue that career. Then, set a small goal for yourself related to this career. For example, if you want to be a scientist, your goal could be to read one science book this term.
